Terms and Conditions

1. Fee and Payment Guidelines

  1. We request payment in advance on a monthly basis (4 classes per month). No refunds are given for days when the student is not in attendance.

  2. A 10% family discount is offered when two or more members of the family dance with MJ School. The offer applies after the third month since they joined the school.

  3. Private lessons: A 48hr cancellation notice in writing via whatsapp to MJ School of Dance must be given for private classes. Otherwise, fees will remain payable. Should you give 48hrs notice, MJ School of Dance will reschedule the private lesson.

  4. Workshops: Places are only secured once full payment has been made. No refunds apply to all workshops unless it’s canceled by MJ School of Dance due to a fault on the Institution's behalf.

  5. Annual Event Seats Booking : Places are only secured once full payment has been made. Theatre tickets are non-refundable. Should another student be able to take the place a transfer may be accepted to MJ School of Dance’s discretion.

  6. Cancellation of Classes: If classes are canceled due to the fault of the company the time will be made up, or fees will be deducted from the following month’s fees. This will be done at the discretion of MJ School of Dance.

  7. MJ School of Dance reserves the right to change fees. We will endeavor to inform parents and carers of any changes in prior.

2. Cancellation Policy

  1. Notice of four weeks must be given in writing via whatsapp if a child wishes to cease attending lessons. Fees will still be due even if the student is unable to attend class until the completion of the notice period.

  2. Fees will not be refunded if a student decides to leave during the course.

3. Attendance

  1. It is a fundamental necessity for the teacher/choreographer to have the time to work with the students; therefore all pupils are expected to meet a 80% minimum attendance. Parents are asked to contact us when their child is absent giving an indication of the reason.

  2. Choreography for Performances: When working towards group choreography for competitions or performances, should attendance drop below 80% we reserve the right to alter student's positions and if deemed necessary, he/she will be removed from a section or the whole piece.

  3. Opportunity for Stage Performances : Student must be enrolled and attended the regular classes atleast two months in order to perform in the public events and MJ Dance Galatta Events. Master reserve the rights to ensure that he/she is ready for the stage and decide to include the students in the performances when representing MJ School of Dance.

4. Lateness Policy

  1. Students should arrive punctually for their classes. As dance involves physical activity, it is essential to warm up the body to perform movements safely.

  2. For this reason, students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be required to observe the class instead of participating, to ensure their health and safety.

5. Dress Code

  1. Public Events: Students representing MJ School of Dance at public events are required to wear the official MJ School uniform shirt. Parents/ Students are expected to purchase this shirt upon registration with the school.

  2. The MJ School uniform shirt is sold at a fixed price, and students without the uniform will not be permitted to participate in such events. This shirt is designed for durability, but if it becomes worn out or torn or not of correct size anymore, it must be purchased again. 

  3. MJ Galatta Annual Day Dance Event : Students participating in the Annual Day Event will not be wearing MJ School uniform shirt. A separate attractive Dance costume has to be purchased by the Parents/ Studentd before the event that will be provided by the management.

  4. We insist on buying the uniforms and costumes to ensure, the kids and audience can enjoy the grand and visually appealing appearance in the stage. It will also create a professional atmosphere and cohesive look we aim for.

  5. Regular Class : Students must dress in comfortable outfits and must come in Shoes. Slippers or Boots are not allowed in the class. We request students to bring their own water bottles for the class​​

6. Behavior Policy

  1. Students are expected to listen and we discourage unnecessary talking. If a student is causing disruption to other's learning they may be asked to leave the lesson.

  2. Using Mobile phones inside the class is strictly prohibited.

  3. Kids are not allowed to run around inside or outside the premises during break hours or before and after the dance class.

  4. Parents are not allowed to chit-chat loudly inside the premises or cause any sort of distraction to the students during the class hours. As we have our classes in third party's location, we are obligated to follow the premises rules. Any unacceptable behavior from students and/or parents/carers will not be tolerated.

6. Safeguarding

  1. Rights to (teaching) methods, choreographies and other substantive or artistic products developed by the Dance Master belongs to the Institution

  2. Parents/ Students are requested to fill in Consent form as soon they register with MJ School in order to share kids performances in Social Media Platforms for future.

  3. ​By signing the registration form, the student/parent fully agrees to these general terms and conditions.

MJ School of Dance reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time for the benefit of the business, staff or participants.
